Q: How can I tell if my vehicle will be
safe? A: The U.S. Government requires all car/auto
movers/shippers/relocaters in commercial business to obtain FMCSA licensing. They also require proof of proper insurance,
cargo insurance, and they must also be bonded. Contact the Federal Highway Administration to double check any company. Ask
to see that they have all filings in order. They must be licensed, bonded, and insured.
If they aren't, LOOK OUT! That means you have NO protection if something happens to your car.
The Government has mandated the requirements for YOUR PROTECTION! Call them: 202-358-7000.

Q: How do I get my car moved?
A: After
you place your order with Cheapie Auto Movers and Transport a deposit is calculated and may be accepted through VISA, Mastercard,
Discover or American Express. As soon as you make your deposit we start the job of placing the vehicle with the truck which
will transport it. It's that simple.
Q:
How long does it take?
A: We try to place your order as
quickly as possible and see that a scheduled pickup delivery date is assigned. To get the discount Cheapie rate you must be
somewhat flexible and willing to meet the truck when it arrives either for pickup or drop-off. You will be contacted by the
transport driver giving you the date and approximate time of pickup or drop-off. Also, full payment is required at the drop-off
destination.
Q: Will the transport arrive
on time?
A: Weather conditions can cause delays as can
road conditions. Transit times are always estimated as close as possible but you must remember that no transport company can
predict the exact time of arrival or departure until they are close to the area. If any transport company gives you a firm
promise, LOOK OUT! Some companies will promise you anything just to get your order. Once the order is placed and your deposit
arrives they lose interest in giving you the service they promised! Cheapie will follow through with your order giving you
personalized service. We want you to be happy and repeat business is what we want.
Q: Will my car be delivered to my door?
A: In most cases, yes. Depending upon the accessibility of your home or business the driver will try to get
to you. If you live in a hard to access area, the driver may phone you asking for a meeting place such as a parking lot. Remember,
transport trucks are difficult to navigate through some places, so your help and understanding are greatly appreciated. Another
problem for delivery can be power lines. Transport trucks are tall therefore cannot navigate safely in some areas, but for
the most part your car will be delivered to your door. If possible, pick out a parking lot beforehand, that is in your neighborhood.
Q: Will my personal belongings be insured during
the move?
A: Federal law mandates that the transport
company is not responsible for your personal belongings carried in the car during transportation. Also, if any company advises
you that you may load the car with personal items they are not being honest with you. DON'T DO IT! That is another tactic
used by companies who just want your order! Don't believe anyone who tells you your personal items are covered by insurance.
Q: What type of insurance will my car have
when it is transported?
A: The Federal Highway Administration
requires the transporter to carry the insurance on your car. It is impossible for anyone else to insure your car for your
move. Also, they have to meet government regulations on the insurance of your automobile. It's as simple as that. That's
why Cheapie works hard to find a safe and legal transporter to carry your car. If at any time you need to ask for the transport's
insurance or deductible information, feel free to call us or the transporter we set you up with. That's why we are here...to
serve you!
Q: How do I pay?
A: We accept VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. You can telephone
your order to us or mail it. We don't use online credit card orders because we want your card number protected! Your card
number is not given out to anyone! Nor do we sell your personal information. We want you to know that Cheapie truly cares
about you. After we calculate your deposit you can pay whatever way you choose. When your vehicle arrives you will pay the
driver in full the remaining amount due after the deposit. You must pay in full. C.O.D. is the only way the driver can release
the vehicle to you.
Q: What if my car doesn't
run?
A: We can still get it moved, however there is an additional
fee involved. If your car is apart or not running it makes it more difficult to get it on and off the transport. Let us know
when you fill out the quote form. We will try to get you the best price!
Q: I have a very expensive car, can you ship it for me?
A: Yes. We can ship any type of vehicle. We will find an enclosed transport trailer to protect your
classic/exotic/sports car.
Q: Is the deposit
included in the quote?
A: Yes - It is included in the
total amount quoted and payment request.
